Riviera natural gas utility receives national award


FOLEY, Ala. – June 2025 – Riviera Utilities has been recognized with the American Public Gas Association’s System Operational Achievement Recognition (SOAR) Award at the Silver level.

Out of approximately 750 APGA members, Riviera Utilities was selected for this honor by its peers on the APGA Operations and Safety Committee. The selection was based on demonstrated excellence in four key areas: system integrity, system improvement, employee safety, and workforce development.

The SOAR Award highlights natural gas utilities that uphold the highest standards of safety and reliability while investing in continuous improvement for their communities. The American Public Gas Association represents more than 700 public natural gas utilities serving over 5 million customers across the nation.
