BALDWIN COUNTY, AL — Every year on August 11 (8/11), utilities and cities across the country unite to spread a simple but powerful message: Call 811 before you dig. Whether you're a homeowner planting a tree or a contractor breaking ground, contacting Alabama 811 first can prevent costly damage, project delays, and serious safety hazards.
This year, Riviera Utilities, Daphne Utilities, Baldwin EMC, and the Cities of Foley, Daphne, Fairhope, and Spanish Fort are partnering once again to bring attention to this vital service. As part of the effort, landmarks and city buildings across Baldwin County will "Glow Green" from August 8 – 11 in a vibrant show of support and awareness.
Locals and travelers alike are encouraged to visit the following green-lit locations after sundown:
Foley – Pedestrian Bridge
Foley – Fountain at John B. Foley Park Daphne Utilities – Main Office
Baldwin EMC Offices
City of Daphne – City Hall
City of Spanish Fort – City Hall
City of Fairhope – Gaston Plaza
