Meet Our People

Riviera Utilities is fueled by skilled, dedicated, and passionate people. What makes us special is our love for our Baldwin County community and each other. We are focused on customer service, personal development, and high performance. Take a minute to get to know a few of them:

Aaron

Transportation Superintendent
Started at Riviera Utilities in 2005

"Riviera is a great place to work because of the people. Everyone encourages each other to grow and be the best they can be. Employees help you out if you have any questions or need advice. I started working in the Transportation Shop on the vehicles & equipment and worked my way up to the Superintendent position. I could not have done it without the support of everyone in the company. I have worked for many companies and Riviera Utilities offers the best benefits and cares about its employees.

My job in the Transportation Shop is very satisfying when we can repair a vehicle and have it out and working so that everyone else can do their jobs.  We strive to do the best we can so all the departments can be the best at what they do."

Lanie
Administrative Assistant
Started at Riviera Utilities in 2017

"I enjoy working at Riviera because of the people I get to work with every day. I also appreciate the opportunities to learn more about broadband services while helping my department with anything they may need. My job is special to me because of the people I have met while working here. The satisfaction in my work comes from how appreciated I feel in the Broadband Department every day. I could not imagine a better company to work for than Riviera Utilities."

Johnny
Purchasing and Warehouse Supervisor

Started at Riviera Utilities in 2013

"I really enjoy what I do here at Riviera Utilities. I like working with our great employees as well as the distributor, manufacturer, and factory reps. Yes, I am a people person. It is critical to build relationships with the reps and the public. In today’s business climate, being in procurement, purchasing, and warehousing is a full-time job. It can be very challenging, but I love a challenge! Being able to locate and secure delivery of hard-to-get materials is very satisfying. I also enjoy working with the Warehouse employees and being able to make their jobs easier with the correct tools and material-handling equipment. I love to see the material come in and how everything has its place with a barcode and is so well organized. This system helps get our materials out to the crews quickly and efficiently. That itself is very rewarding! In my opinion, we have a great management team at RU and I am happy to be here as my business career is starting to wind down.  It’s been a great ride so far!

Chris

Senior AMI Specialist, Foley

Started at Riviera Utilities in 1999

"I love how much Riviera invests in their employees to become leaders. They give us the tools we need to grow. The mentorship and growth opportunities that have been afforded to me could not be duplicated anywhere. I am very proud to be part of the Riviera Utilities team and hope to be here for much longer."

Paul
Lead Lineworker, Foley

Started at Riviera Utilities in 1991

"Riviera Utilities is one of the best employers to work for, if not the best, in Baldwin County. My late father encouraged me to apply here because of the great benefits and retirement plan, something he understood the importance of since he had been a farmer for over 50 years. I enjoy working here at Riviera mainly because of my co-workers, my 'family-away-from-family.' I am with these guys as much and sometimes more than my own family.

Riviera is special to me because I know our upper management and board work hard to keep the ship steady. There is job security in times of difficulty when others may not have that. In times of bad storms and hurricanes, we can restore power to basic infrastructure, like gas stations and grocery stores, so people can manage on their own until their power is restored. Who wouldn't get satisfaction from that? I am very proud of our line crew and what we accomplish together daily."

Chris
Gas Operator

Started at Riviera Utilities in 1995

"I enjoy working with our customers when turning on their gas appliances. We let them know we are there for them if they need us for any gas issue. My co-workers are very knowledgeable of their job and that makes the work easier and safer. At the end of the day, I hope that I have made our customers feel more comfortable."
