Severe Storm Preparedness Sessions Are Back for 2026

Last year, we had the privilege of hosting more than 10 Severe Storm Preparedness Sessions across our service area — in living rooms, businesses, community centers, and local events. We met hundreds of neighbors who wanted to learn more about preparing for hurricane season and were reminded of the importance of community in preparing for natural disasters.

That's why Riviera Utilities is once again offering free Severe Storm Preparedness Sessions for HOAs, neighborhood groups, civic organizations, churches, businesses, and community clubs throughout our service area.

These interactive, in-person sessions are designed to help residents better understand what to expect before, during, and after a major storm. Whether you've weathered decades of hurricane seasons or recently made the Gulf Coast your home, our team is here to help you feel more prepared and confident.

During the session, we'll cover:

  • How utility restoration works and what happens behind the scenes following a storm
  • How restoration priorities are established and why certain areas may come online before others
  • Generator safety, emergency supplies, evacuation planning, and other storm preparedness best practices
  • What you can expect from Riviera Utilities when severe weather impacts our community
  • Answers to your questions and concerns about storm response and recovery

Each presentation is tailored to the audience, creating opportunities for meaningful discussion and practical takeaways.

If you have a heart for helping ensure your neighbors are ready to face whatever comes to the Gulf Coast, we'd love to visit with your group. Large or small, formal or informal, all are welcome.
