Riviera Utilities to Host 'Stay in the Game: Hydration All-Stars' Event for National Drinking Water Week

Foley, Ala. (May 2026) — Riviera Utilities is stepping up to the plate this National Drinking Water Week with a community-wide celebration at the ballpark. The utility will host “Stay in the Game: Hydration All-Stars” on Thursday, May 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Foley Sports Complex.

The event is designed to highlight the essential role water plays in everyday life — from fueling athletes on the field to supporting families at home — while celebrating the team behind the service. Riviera Utilities currently provides safe, reliable water service to approximately 20,000 customers across its system.

This free, family-friendly event will bring a sporty, high-energy atmosphere to the Foley Sports Complex with activities and refreshments for all ages, including:

  • Fresh-off-the-grill hot dogs served with chips and cookies
  • Ice-cold water and hydration drink mixes
  • Sport-themed popsicles to help guests beat the heat
  • Yellow and orange sweatbands for kids
  • Water-applied temporary tattoos
  • “Hydration All-Star” trading cards featuring Riviera Utilities water crews in action
  • A Touch-a-Truck experience showcasing the equipment used to keep the system running

Riviera Utilities employees will be on-site grilling, engaging with guests, and sharing how clean, reliable water supports the community both on and off the field.

National Drinking Water Week, led by the American Water Works Association, is observed each May to recognize the vital role drinking water plays in protecting public health and supporting everyday life.

Community members are encouraged to bring their families, teammates, and friends to enjoy an evening of food, fun, and appreciation for the “Hydration All-Stars” who keep Baldwin County running.
