Riviera Utilities and the Wolf Bay Watershed Watch Youth Fishing Tournament Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008 The fishing tournament is over and the kids had a blast. Check out the photos on our website under the Community heading. Thanks to the Wolf Bay Watershed Watch volunteers and committee for their great help in making this a very successful tournament. Special thanks to Tommy Patterson and Stan Mahoney for their endurance and tremendous dedication to the kids, community and the watershed. Thanks to everyone that was involved.
Riviera Utilities is proud to be a member of the Wolf Bay Watershed Watch and we encourage everyone in the community to become a part of this great organization. What better way to help us in our efforts to continue to make this area a great place to live by protecting our waterways and its inhabitants. The quality of life we have in Baldwin County is second to none and we all agree we want to keep it that way.
We are accomplishing our mission of promoting conservation ethics in our youth and raising awareness of the WBWW programs. With a tournament like this, it affords us the opportunity to work with a great number of our youth, ages 3 - 16, teaching them the wonder of our waterways, its inhabitant’s, and the importance of fishing sportsmanship. It mainly gives adults an opportunity to work with and have a positive influence on them. What a great way to interact with our young people.
Thanks to the businesses in our community that help support this tournament and to all who have volunteered their time and efforts toward making this event a success for our area youth.
